Focus Groups

 

Come along to a Focus Group (Monday 8th, Tuesday 9th, Wednesday 10th, Thursday 11th and Monday 15th March)

If you have a bit more time to spare and are particularly interested in one of the 5 themes come along to the Focus Group meetings which are all being held at Foundation House, The Square, Wolverton from 7.30pm to 9pm the week beginning the 8th March.

Monday 8th & Wednesday 10th March - Environment, Energy and Transport

If you are interested in train or bus services in the area, have a view on how to encourage more walking or cycling, want to see initiatives to encourage more environmentally friendly ways of life then this is the group for you!

Tuesday 9th & Wednesday 10th March - Family, Community and Sport

Are you bringing up a family in Wolverton? How do you feel about the services for children and young people in the area? What needs to be improved or changed? How do we look after the more vulnerable people in our community? How could we do this better? Do we have enough affordable housing to create a mixed community? How are local people supported to do things within the community?

Tuesday 9th & Thursday 11th March - Economy, Housing and Learning

What do you think about the local economy? Do we have the right mix of shops, businesses and services? How can we regenerate the Town centre? and what about the local schools and adult education? Are you happy with the education and training on offer in our area? And what about support for new businesses?

Tuesday 9th & Thursday 11th March & - Arts, Heritage and Culture

How can Wolverton promote its' local heritage and draw in tourists? How do we make the most of what we have to offer in terms of arts and cultural experiences? How can the canal be exploited for the good of the Town and the greenspaces improved for visitors and residents alike?

Monday 15th March - Partnerships, Governance and Community Involvement

How should we work together as a local community to realise the refreshed vision? Do we use existing organisations in the Town or create a new organisation to take things forward? How do we ensure that the community continue to be consulted and involved in the changes that take place?
