Wolverton Community Vision 2010

Expert Panels

Speak to one of the Expert panels about the things that you feel passionate about

During the 3rd week of March we are planning 5 Expert Panels made up of individuals who have some expertise in the area concerned, i.e. Environment, Energy and Transport, Family, Community and Sport, Economy, Housing and Learning, Arts, Heritage and Culture, Partnerships, Governance and Community Involvement.

We are actively seeking local people to act as "Witnesses" to speak to the panels about their experience of running a particular project/business/community group/sports group in the local area.

You don't need to be an expert in anything other than your project/business/group but we are looking for people who have something interesting to say about what they have done and any challenges or blockages you may have had in developing your project/doing your work within the local area. We also want you to think about and comment on how things might be improved for the future.

If you or your group/business would like to talk to one of the panels about your experience please get in touch with Marie Osborne on 01908 320512

How the Panels will work

Panel meetings will take place during the week beginning the 15th March between 10am and 4pm, Wolverton Town Hall

Monday 15th March - Environment, Energy and Transport

Tuesday 16th March - Family, Community and Sport

Wednesday 17th March - Economy, Housing and Learning

Thursday 18th March - Arts, Heritage and Culture

Friday 19th March - Partnerships, Governance and Community Involvement

Each "Witness" will have 10 minutes to give uninterrupted evidence which will be followed by up to 10 minutes during which time Members of the Panels may ask questions. Witnesses may decide to submit written evidence, which will have been read by the Members of the Panel beforehand. The Members of the Panels are there to listen to the evidence that the witness wishes to give. All oral evidence given will be recorded and so be 'on the record' and members of the public are invited to come along and listen as well as take part.
