Wolverton Community Vision 2010

Welcome to the Wolverton Community Vision 2010 website, set up to support the "Refreshing the Vision" process which started in March 2010.

You should find all the information you need about current meetings and events, but please contact us if you have a specific query.

A HUGE thanks to all those people who contributed to the process which took place in March. Whether you filled in a questionnaire, took part in a focus group or spoke to an Expert Panel, your thoughts and ideas will ensure that our efforts to improve Wolverton are focussed on REAL concerns and issues. During April all of this information has analysed by people from outside of Wolverton.

Refreshing the Vision for Wolverton: Summary of feedback report by Claire Nichols and Gordon Morris is now available to download. There are also paper copies at Wolverton Library, at the Town Hall Reception desk of Wolverton & Greenleys Town Council, Greenleys Community Centre and The Galleon Pub, Old Wolverton.

Many people who made comments wanted to see real progress happen SOON! They also wanted to understand which local organisations were going to do what to make things happen. The next stage of the process will focus in on these key questions.

Very best wishes, The Vision Group

What’s it all about?

In 2002/3 residents, businesses and people who used the area for work or leisure spent over six months developing what came to be known as the "Future Wolverton Vision".

How to get involved

There are lots of opportunities to get involved in every part of the process, whether you have 10 minutes to spare or have lots and time and energy!

ACTION PLANNING meetings

  • We are planning 5 action planning meetings where we focus on what we might want to achieve, and realistically will be able to do, over the next 5 years.

These meetings are all taking place towards the end of June and will have the same themes as the ones that took place in March.

There will then be a "Wolverton Summit" in the middle of July hosted by Radcliffe School, where the ACTIONS from the different groups will come together and we will agree our plan of work for the next 5 years.

The Summit will also reach a decision about which local organisations will deliver which parts of the Action Plan, and who will provide the overall co-ordination.
